In the heart of Toronto, a vibrant new condominium tower has begun the pre-construction phase. 8 Wellesley Residences on Yonge is a gorgeous new 55-storey mixed-use tower at the corner of Wellesley and Yonge Street in the Church and Wellesley neighborhood. Incorporating existing heritage architecture, sporting many amenities and shops and services within the building podium, and being centrally located in the heart of one of Toronto’s most vibrant neighborhoods makes this project a cut above.
8 Wellesley is located in a neighborhood known as Church and Wellesley, a sector of the downtown core known for its bustling city lifestyle. Just east of Queen’s Park, and running along Yonge Street, Church and Wellesley is a cultural hub for the city, as well as a youthful, energetic district. With the Ryerson University campus along its southern edge, U of T just a short walk away, Church and Wellesley is known for its quirky bars, fun nightlife.
8 Wellesley is located in a singularly convenient crossroads in Toronto. With Wellesley Station just across the street, it’s a simple walk to connect with the TTC. You can hop onto the subway in five minutes from your front door to just about anywhere in the city. Wellesley Station is part of the TTC Subway Line 1, which is directly downtown. From there, the entire GTA is at your fingertips! Take the TTC Subway Line 1 or Line 2 to Union Station, or up north, east or west to all the distant corners of the city.
8 Wellesley Residences on Yonge is a 55-storey condominium with 466 residential units. This building includes 283 one-bedroom units, 138 two-bedroom units, and 45 three-bedroom units. The first five floors will be a podium section, incorporating existing architecture and heritage facades from buildings on the property. This will bring a rustic, heritage feeling to the street level. This podium will incorporate a number of shops and retail opportunities along the street level as well, and also make room for the building’s 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space. The tower’s unique shape will allow for multiple balconies and terraces. This means that shared outdoor amenity space will be split among a number of floors – 4, 40, 54, 56, 57, and 64. Residents of 8 Wellesley will enjoy underground parking, as well as a gorgeous residential lobby and exclusive entrance. While a full list of amenities hasn’t yet been released, we expect more information soon. To stay up-to-date with this project’s amenities, floor plans and more, don’t forget to register with us!
